Cincy

Jeremy took me to Cincinnati this past weekend. We booked a hotel downtown by using hot*wire and got the Hy*att for a pretty nice price. We went to I*kea and picked a few things for the house--the store is amazing its HUGE!! My favorite restaurant was actually for breakfast Sunday morning--it was called First Watch and I had their Floridian French Toast and ate all of it(i never clean my plate). We stopped by the Cre*ation Museum(we had free passes), I posted a few pictures below. We also ate at another one of my favorites Pf Ch*angs on the way home--yum yum!!

So i do not have a potato masher but wanted to make mashed potatoes last night with supper--I tried before with other things around the kitchen and they were always super lumpy. BUT I remembered that I got the quick chef from tupper*ware when I hosted a party last year and that it worked amazingly well. I just threw in some garlic, butter, milk and the potatoes and spun it like crazy!! The nice thing is it has a spot for a little funnel on the top so I could just poor in more milk when I felt it needed it.

The craziness has come to an end!!

So it has been crazy since 12/22/2009!! I feel like it has been non-stop for us but we have seen the light at the end of the tunnel, the rest of our weekends for this month are completely open :)

My goal for the rest of the month is to work on the house. I want to paint the fireplace and all the paneling in the family room, I have had the colors picked out since November!! I did get to hang a collage of black picture frames in our stairway heading into the the family room(pic posted below).

Homemade Marshmallows

So I don't know if is the fact that Jeremy and I watched Julie and Julia last week but I have the urge to try new things :) Today I made homemade marshmallows I found the recipe here: www.ourbestbites.com and from the sampling I took from the bowl I do have to say they are tasty!!

(I tried out the new camera again--I think I need to sit down and read the manual)

green eggs and .....

Jeremy and I headed down south to gather some farm fresh eggs(brown and green shells) from my nephew and niece-while we were down there I tested out my new camera.
