Robbed
Text I received from my sister yesterday morning, "Before u hear it though the paper, our house was robbed yesterday." Seriously who does that right before Christmas. He/She/They took all of the Christmas presents for my nephew and niece, plus anything else that looked valuable. Just breaks my heart :(

Old San Juan
Jeremy and one of my best friends (who now lives in Florida) did a majority of the planning for our trip. Which was weird for me because I am the planner out of the 3 of us but it needed to be done when I was crazy busy with school! My request was to be close to a beach. So Sarah picked Puerto Rico and we said "Sounds great!" We spent the beginning and the end of our trip in Old San Juan with the Island of Vieques in the middle.
Here are some snapshots of Old San Juan! I wish that I had Sarah and Adam's pictures but they took over 300 and are still working on deleting. I am normally a picture taker on vacation but I was not this time! I knew they had their camera and they were better with it near the water since they are used to being by the beach 24/7 :)
This is me with Sarah don't mind us, we (me and Jeremy) had been up so 5am traveling!
The bigger of the two forts in Old San Juan. We declared this Sarah day because we just followed her around where ever she wanted to go :)
We happened to see helicopters and wondered what was going on, looked over the edge of the fort to find a paddle board race. I have no idea how they managed to go so far, it looked very tiring. There were a LOT of racers but it was had to understand what was going in the non-zoomed out picture, you couldn't make out the racers.
These guys could be found every where! We saw a HUGE one when we where closing up the house to check out. I was just enjoying the view along the wall of the fort when this little guy climbed up beside and stopped right in front of me. I didn't want to yell out to Jeremy, Sarah and Adam so they didn't get to practically shake hands with him like I did!
The architecture in Old San Juan reminded me a lot of New Orleans.

Vieques, PR Part 1
If you want to feel as thought you are on your own private beach and do not mind having to drive 4x4 to get there, then Vieques is the place to go!
View from our balcony!
Black sand beach, we had to do a little hiking to get to this one. There may have been an area of water that we had to walk through that seemed like it could been invested with scary things. But none of us have of a raging infection!
Playing on the rocks, some of them did not feel so good on the bottom of the feet!
At first I was a little disappointed in the black sand (not much black sand) but then we found sea glass now I just have to figure out what I am going to do with it! Also the rocks were fun to climb on!
Green Beach, the coral started right off the beach--watch out for sea urchins!
Watching the storm come in.
