Jeremy and I spent last week with my aunt and uncle and had a lot of fun seeing all the things Kansas City has to over! It was definitely a cheap vacation which was very nice--there are a lot of low cost and even free things to do in KC. I am going to have have several post about our trip(the previous post was day 1 and this post is day 2).
The most expensive place we went to was the Arabia Museum(I think it was around $14 a ticket for adults). The Arabia was a steamboat that sank on the Missouri River back in the 1800's. The people that originally found the boat had intentions of selling everything they found but then decided to have a museum displaying all the goods. There were all sorts of things found buttons, clothes, dishes, food, etc....One of the guys actually opened up a jar of pickles and ate one and said it was perfect(over 100year old jar).

What caused the boat to sink.

All the money that was found on the steamship--pocket change!

They found over 3 million buttons(sorry the picture is taken through glass and no flash allowed)

The only casualty the poor mule! His owner left him tied up on the lower deck and that is where they found him still tied up and with his saddle on.

The second thing we did on Day 2:
One of the federal reserve banks it was just like that movie "mad money"(I think that is what it was called with Diane Keaton and Katie Holmes)
KC is a town known for its fountains, I think there are over 200(they use to be horse troughs)

Now if we could just figure out how to piece it all back together!!
